Outside of his multifaceted career in real estate and venture funding, Victor Alston is personally passionate about helping others, giving back, and being involved with creating positive change in his community in California and around the world. 

Growing up, philanthropy was always a very important aspect of life for Victor Alston and his family, and that hasn’t changed as Victor has grown up and started his own family. Together, they look to be involved in areas that will be most beneficial to people with long-term benefits as well as short-term ones. 

When it comes to Philanthropy, Victor Alston and his family like to take a targeted approach; rather than giving money to causes without discerning or researching how their money is being spent, Victor and his family like to focus on a few key areas where they can target their donations and time. 

One of the most significant areas of involvement and charity for Victor Alston is working with organizations whose missions are to provide affordable housing for individuals and families. Working in real estate, Victor sees the impact that the right kind – and frankly even the availability – of housing can have on a person’s life. He wants to help make affordable housing a reality for more Americans and makes it one of his personal missions to see it happen. 

Additionally, another area of focus for Victor Alston and his family is St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, where they make philanthropic contributions on a regular basis. 

In a philanthropic sense, Victor Alston also wants to be involved in areas that will benefit people by getting them on the right track for their futures. One such area includes contributions to a library diploma program in his area. The program works to help people who are in the later stages in life go back and get their high school diploma, a milestone many have long-since abandoned reaching. In today’s society, a high school diploma alone carries a lot of weight, and Victor likes to be the first to extend opportunities to many of the degree achievers of this program by often offering internships and a chance to gain some experience. He wants to help people in a way that’s more than just giving money; he wants to stay involved in the lives of those he’s able to help. 

Professionally, Victor Alston’s dual-headed career sees him hold two positions: the CEO and President of Luxe Living.co and Big Sur Construction, as well as the Managing Partner at the venture funding firm Dragon Capital.
